Workshops on Yoga

Yoga has eight limbs or Paths as expounded by Sage Patanjali thousands of years ago. Asanas or physical postures are what you commonly practice in most Yoga classes. At Sanatana Yoga Academy we share and explore all eight paths of Yoga through workshops. In addition workshop topics related to your health and wellbeing are also done face-to-face or online to suit the needs of clients.ย

At Sanatana Yoga Academy we wish to bring you authentic and affordable Yoga, irrespective of age, or physical ability. Our vision is to make yoga available to all, especially the disadvantaged sections of the community. We offer free sessions for selected groups in the community who cannot get access to regular Yoga such as seniors & prisoners. A healthy body is an essential prerequisite to discovering the purpose of life. Yoga transforms us to become non-judgemental, self-aware, mindful, and inclusive people.
Be like a Bamboo in life Practice Yoga

โ€œ Na Sreyo Niyamam Vinaโ€ says Sage Patanjali. This means โ€œThere can be no welfare without disciplineโ€. Practicing Yoga requires discipline and patience. That brings us to the life of bamboo.

A bamboo does not grow much for the first four years or so. Then it shoots up almost a meter a day. What does the bamboo do in the first few years? It develops a deep root system that will sustain itโ€™s height, suck water from deep underground to feed the rapid growth about to ensue and withstand the floods and storms that sweep away other trees. What does this tell us? Like the Bamboo farmer,ย  stay patient and keep up your Yoga practice practicing, develop your Yoga practice, develop inner strength in a physical and mental sense, develop your foundation of values, inner vision on who you are, where are you heading in life, what is your life destination. There onwards your journey in Life would be the same as the bamboo, fast and steady.
